I have always liked awkward questions more than comfortable answers.
No Sacred Cows is where I park the things that do not fit neatly anywhere else. Memoir, travel notes between Europe and Thailand, political grumbling, environmental dread, coffee, small moments of lightness, and the odd attempt at humour.
Rather than making you scroll through my entire life in reverse order, the blog is divided into a few simple strands:
Memoir – a life woven through Yorkshire, France, Thailand and a few wrong turns along the way.
Thailand Notes – politics, culture, everyday absurdities and fun.
Climate, Collapse and Politics – pieces like Message In A Bottle We Refuse To Read and other attempts to look at the mess we are in without flinching.
Coffee and Wanderings – walks, cafés, trains, beaches and the small details that make being alive slightly less baffling.
The Absurdity Digest – real headlines that read like satire, with a short commentary attached.
